Mortuary Tree

Buried alive in a tree—a new species comes to life.

Dr. Alexis Coronis, a molecular biologist, leads a simple life in Washington, DC, with her teenage daughter, Leah. While experimenting in their lab, Alexis and Charlie—her goofball lab assistant—perfect a formula for successfully blending human and tree DNA. To reproduce the results, Alexis must find a pure source of the original sample, which traces to Haida Gwaii—a remote archipelago off the coast of British Columbia.

Alexis and Ramsey—her investor and lover—travel to Haida Gwaii along with Leah, where they expose an ancient secret that has been carefully protected by a caretaker known as the Watchman. Alexis and her daughter find themselves in a life-and-death struggle against a hybrid monster species, catastrophic weather, and a betrayal that threatens all of humanity.

Mortuary Tree is a chilling page turner that builds suspense through a maze of bio-thriller twists and turns, culminating with a shocking end.
