Operation Torch is about to get underway: the Allied invasion of northwest Africa. The Germans know this, and a secret Afrika Korps unit is at work.

Allied officials are unsure of the unit’s purpose—but they fear the worst.

For the British, the nightmare scenario is a Nazi-instigated Islamic jihad—and a strike against the Suez Canal.

For the Americans, the looming danger is Vichy France—Nazi Germany’s ally—hurling artillery shells and spitting machine gun bullets against the American landings in Algeria and Morocco.
