A bit overdue, but here's Kevin Burke (he of The Last Mailman) chatting with me about superheroes, 14 , Hollywood casting, and even a little bit about zombies.

While we were at Crypticon, Mail Order Zombie did some hit-and-run reviews along the Permuted tables.  This week they've got the ones with me, Ellie Knapp, and Scott Baker, plus some movie reviews and other fun stuff.

Check out their episode from last week, too.  They recorded one of the Crypticon zombie panels with Scott and Craig di Louie.

Michael Worthan at Comic Book Therapy asked me a few questions about writing 14 and also about writing in general.

Here's me chatting with Headshot Heather of Doubleshot Reviews (who is secretly Heather Faville, the lovely wife of Tony Faville, author of Kings of the Dead).

She gets me to talk about 14, the Ex-books, future projects, Boba Fett, chimpanzees... you know, the usual interview stuff.

Camaris runs his own site, A, where he has a weekly feature of different writers addressing important writerly issues.

This week, for some reason, he asked me to do it...

Hop over to iTunes and you can hear me battle the international language barrier (and speakerphone) with the good folks of the Academy of Zombie Survival.

There's also a ton of plugs in there for Craig DiLouie, Iain McKinnon, Derek Goodman, and I think one or two others...

Don't worry, the podcast's free.  You like free stuff, remember?

Had a listen and it's pretty good. Fine job, Clines. Fine job.

-Had a hard time understanding the woman though :)

Yes, I'd read The Zombie Survival Guide as many times as the next guy, but my whole Z-Plan revolved around -not- getting close enough to the deadheads in order to fight them in hand-to-hand combat. No thanks. Just stay the hell away and put one between their eyes from a safe distance.

Imagine what it was like for me, hearing them through speakerphone. ;)

It wasn't that bad, actually.  The biggest flub-up was on my part, when said woman (Laura) asks me about my Z-Day plans.  And I dont' know what the hell I was thinking but between the sound and the accent I somehow got it in my head she was asking if I had any big plans for Halloween.

That's why I sound like an idiot for the first thirty seconds or so of that response.  :D

That's funny, cause I was sitting here trying to figure out if she said Halloween plans or Birthday plans, and was like, "Why the hell is she asking about birthday plans? Halloween would make more sense. Yeah, that must be it."

After it was made clear she was asking about Z-DAY plans, your initial response made that whole thing even better  ;D

Mihir over at the Fantasy Book Critic site asked me a bunch of questions about books, movies, writing, superheroes, and other things in that vein...

SF Signal interviewed me about the Ex-Heroes relaunch, which I feel a bit odd talking about/promoting here.  But they also asked about 14, so I don't feel as odd.

SF Signal asked me back to blab about movie remakes and reboots.

As usual, I blabbed on too long.  Or so I thought, until I saw some of the other responses...

Michael S. Gardner got me to blab about writing some of my books, George Romero, Nathan Fillion, and other archetypal characters.

Yeah, I know.  Making me blab.  Not all that hard...
