It's almost October...   :D

Lots and lots of work.  Bought a handgun Friday, looked at engagement rings Saturday, saw the family on Sunday.  Pretty awesome weekend.

Kel-Tec P11.  Got it at a steal: $200 under MSRP.  I love it's utility as a CCW: small enough to not get in the way under my jacket.    

The engagement ring is going to be a classical-style, twisty-looking band (White gold, 14-18k) with a pink sapphire.  The lady actually prefers them to diamonds...  Which I won't complain about! :D

Kadonka, my girlfriend isn't too much on diamonds either.  She prefers sapphire or one of the other blue stones.  I forget which.

Shooting for May-June wedding, with a proposal around Christmas or New Year's.  Of course this depends on the amount of overtime and extra work I can wrangle to expedite the ring purchase (the reason I purchased the handgun, in fact).  The $1000 difference in center stone definitely helps make this timeline feasible.  It's good to have a significant other with strange tastes, sometimes. :)

Hi! I guess I'm re-booting this thread! I've been writing for GeekMom, doing a little NaNoWriMo, and coming down from the Shreveport Zombie Walk, which I had Rhiannon, Corey and Kody come in for! YAY!!! It was SOOOO good to see them!  :heart: :heart: :heart:

Well, after a lovely message from Bobbie, thought I'd drop in and say hallo to some old friends.  :)

How is everyone?

Me? Doing great. Moved to Sunny Cardiff, Wales (which should amuse Welsh American Bruce!) It's pronounced Carrrrdeeeef, by the locals.

Still hacking away at my zombie tomes of woe (more info from the signature). The FLU is spreading to Germany and Spain this month, so that's quite exciting.

Apart from that, hanging out a lot on facebook (hence less activity on message forums like Permuted). Still love ink, getting more tattoos and piercings by the day (booked in for a great big neck tattoo at the end of the month). 

Anyway, big love to y'all!  :heart:
