Not sure how many of you have seen or heard about this yet, but I figured I would spread the word anyway.

So, how many of you have set up a table at a con and had to turn down a sale because you don't have the ability to take a credit card payment?

Well, now if you have an iPhone, iPad, iTouch or Android phone, through this company, https://squareup.com/ you can take credit cards for a flat rate of 2.75% if you use the scanner, 3.5% if you punch in the numbers. The scanner is free, and there are no additional costs.

And no, I am not associated with the company in any way, shape or form.

But I hate the idea of telling someone, Sorry, I can't sell you a copy of my book.

Tony, am familiar with the service.  FYI.  Not available outside of the US as of yet.  And only accepts M/C and Visa.  But still, very good way to go...

what about toting around a laptop (with a 3G connection) and accepting payments via PayPal? i'd do that, for sure.
