Well, technically, the Fomorii aren't cannibals.  They eat humans, and they're not REALLY human. ;)

Unfortunately, I couldn't do any midwifing, though I mentioned the dowsing.  Eora (I forget the proper spelling) however has powerful empathetic abilities, and digging deep, was able to control flocks of birds and other creatures.

My most recently published SF book

Product Description
Reborn after near nuclear eradication, humanity struggles in a world defined by a secret history of conspiracy, rivalry and inhuman domination. As an ancient powerful race attempts to retake planet Earth, a courageous and sophisticated band of freedom fighters, the Cerberus rebels, leads the resistance in a daring battle to free humanity from the grips of an alien power struggle.

In the Middle East's legendary Fertile Crescent, millennia-old artifacts are unearthed. Shockingly, they appear to belong to one of Cerberus's own. As events converge to play out a destiny forged in cross-dimensional currents, Grant is plunged back through the shimmering vortex of time. Part phantasm, part warrior known as Enkidu, the man bull, he is hunted by humanity's oldest enemy. Kane, Brigid and Domi lead a rescue party across a parallax to destroy the legendary god beast Humbaba—before Grant is lost forever…

If you have a Kindle, it's available now!

My current technothriller too:

Product Description
With a mandate to combat terror, the ultra-covert action team called Stony Man works outside official channels. Elite field commandos operate with real-time intelligence from master cybernetics experts. Grit and tactical brilliance are Stony Man's best weapons—and America's best chance when terror strikes from the sky to threaten the globe.

An American neo-Nazi has declared war on the governments of the world. His group, Fist of Heaven, controls six weapons platforms in deep space and has launched high-shock kinetic missiles at major cities. The deadly spears have struck London, Moscow, Los Angeles and Tokyo. The death toll is staggering. America is losing the battle to save the planet from the hands of a madman. Grim and determined, Stony Man's teams prepare for the worst as they unleash their own brand of righteous retribution against the Fist of Heaven. -

Also on Kindle!

I saw that one (Outlanders) at Borders the other day and wondered if it was your story.  I love the Enkidu connection!  Is your Kane anything like Karl Edward Wagner's.

I'm definitely picking this up now.

's been a while.  Here's an upcoming book.

Dinosaurs.  The Mahir of Pelucidar.  And a semi-reptilian Tarzan.

Quote
OMNIPRESENT MENACE

In postapocalyptic earth, the Cerberus rebels fight the forces of alien tyranny over humankind. While the losses are often painful, their victories bring renewed promise. Forging a brave new world from the wreckage of the old, these dedicated warriors won't stop until mankind is once again master of its own destiny on earth.

PREDATORS OF EARTH

Kane, Brigid and Grant come to the aid of a race of serpent-human mutants caught up in civil war. Hope for the mutant race lies in an alliance with the advanced people who live in a verdant, secret place deep beneath the shattered islands of Japan. But their subterranean haven is under siege. In a battle to the finish, Kane and the others confront a prehistoric nightmare, retooled and fortified by the deepest mysteries of the Outlands.
