Z.A. Recht (R.I.P. :( ) and J.L. Bourne were my first two written introductions to this wonderful world of Z's through Permuted. I tried to remember which author I started with but couldn't. All 4 books from both were ordered in the same week.

Since then, I have found several very talented (warped? :P ) minds in this genre. And strangely enough, most are right here ;)

I do know that Survivors is my First Zbook that I had on my GOTTA HAVE list for sequels. It's been a L-O-N-G, somewhat depressing road with Z.'s loss, but with the time taken on this final book, I'm confident that P.P. has done Z. proud.

Now, to put that theory to the test......YAAAAAAAAYYY

Any news on this one? Pre-ordered from Barnes & Noble. Probably it will be one of my last book in paper. Shipping costs me as much as books sometimes :/

Yes, I'd read The Zombie Survival Guide as many times as the next guy, but my whole Z-Plan revolved around -not- getting close enough to the deadheads in order to fight them in hand-to-hand combat. No thanks. Just stay the hell away and put one between their eyes from a safe distance.

To be fair you were an undersea swabbie, so the "unfamiliar with military things" comment is pretty true! :P
Hopefully this is waiting for me when I get home.

I did finish off some Russian dog training book the other night. They had some odd methods for taming wolves. ;)

It seems to me that no matter how deep you research, no matter how many military sources you beat for information, no matter how much military experience YOU yourself might have, there's always at least one punk who whines about the author being young and unfamiliar with such things. Of course, you already know this. But it needed to be said.

The book came early. The cover looks as awesome as the pic we were shown however long ago. But it feels so cool! All textured and crap. Really nice.
