In today's DCS post, I begin a new series of blogs entitled 'counter-publishing' - looking at those folks who are choosing alternative ways of getting their writing into the public domain. First up is Mr Sean Patrick Nolan, talking about the birth of Reaver Publishing Group.

Check it out!

In today's DCS post, I talk about how to deal with negative reviews:

'Social networking sites and web forums have been ablaze this week about self-published author, Jacqueline Howett. Her very public response to a review of her Kindle release, THE GREEK SEAMAN, has both gobsmacked and entertained readers across Internet Land. And what a car-crash, poor Jacqueline simply unable to accept the mild criticism offered by Big Al’s Books blog reviewer, seemingly because any criticism of her work at all is an insult. And I must say, despite the increasingly overblown drama throughout her blog comments, I think all writers would have to relate to how Jacqueline is feeling. Dealing with criticism isn’t easy…'
