The last time I did a number I lost three years.

I was at a party in Big Sur and I woke up years later in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., married, with seven children, a mortgage and a dog name Lou.

So I quickly did another number and now I live in Los Angeles, the ultimate unreality, with a wife, four cats and dog named Kiwi. (Who looks a lot like Lou.) No kids, so I guess they are floating around the cosmos!

UPDATE:

(Yes, these do exist--like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster, though perhaps more seldom sighted.)

Discussed the status of the project with Jacob this week and it's neither dead nor forgotten; it just so happened that the lineup of post-apocalyptic novels this year turned out to be hyperkinetic à la malade mental.  (He needs to have a stern word with whomever does his scheduling.)

I'll be doing a bit of document compilation this weekend that should help the process along toward the final MS layout.

And at long last, it lives:

Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CKZRAH4/permutedpress-20

Nook: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/times-of-trouble-lane-adamson/1115221952?ean=2940016436562

Smashwords: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/311330

We do still plan to release the book in paperback, but there's no definite release date at this point.

:D  I've only lived here for twenty years, so i'm still a "come-over" from England.  It's one of those places where you have to be three generations born and bred before you can be properly local.  ;D

Great stuff, I'm really pleased to see this anthology out. Thank you, Lane, and everyone else at Permuted who worked on this.

Blogged (http://davidgullen.com/?p=344), tweeted and FB'd the good news!

Mr Gullen's devilishly madcap "Previous" is just one of the fine stories in Times of Trouble.
