"Down the Road" on "Library of the Living Dead Podcast"

Just a heads up that "Down the Road" will be featured in the upcoming Episode #8 and the sequel "Down The Road: On the Last Day" will be featured in Episode #9. Episode #8 should be up this coming week. They're both damn fine books!! 8)

I bought "Down the Road" on the glowing review given by Doctor Pus in the "Library of the Living Dead" and I must say that I wasn't disappointed!! It took a while to get hold of it over here in the UK but it was well worth the wait.
Loved the people I met, especially George, who wasn't your typical 'good guy' main character; not averse to mowing down cops in cold blood etc.
I was prepared by the Doctor (not THE Doctor...I mean Dr Pus...) that there were shocks in store but I don't think I've been so affected by the outrageously unfair death of a secondary character as I was with M...(trying not to spoil it for anyone else). The ending about George was predictable but that's not a criticism. He had earned that after all he had been through and it was the only fitting conclusion that could have been written for him.
My only disappointment was how short the story was but now I have started the sequel I'm not that bothered!!

Thanks for a wonderful read :)

Welcome, Dancing Fred.  Are you more dead than red?  Or more fed than dead?  Either way, enjoy the twisty turns of the road ahead.  I have a hunch that something wicked this way treads.......

Have fun, and keep your fists in the air and yell!

I'm glad you really dug the first story, Dancing Fred... and you're not the only person who held the same sentiment for M... I've heard that from so many people... It's very interesting how people really connected to that character...

Anyway, thanks again for giving the book a chance... spread the word when you can...
