I'm up to 34 books this year, but most of them are graphic novels. Being a comic book purest, I do consider them "real" books, but others might not. Regardless, that latest I read was the first volume in The Walking Dead storyline. I really enjoyed it, particularly for its weight of emotion, which is what Kirkman, as per his intro, was shooting for with the series. He wanted to write something serious, with real people in a "real" zombie situation.
