The Miserable Men Show
« on: March 28, 2009, 06:32:03 AM »

Well, thanks to comedian extraodinairre Rich Butters for getting me on the Miserable Men show last night on Serius-XM satellite radio. Butters is friends with the Reverand Bob Levy and told Levy about Eden and Levy asked him to have me call in.

I did and I got my 15 minutes 45 second of fame. First I waited an hour on hold and got cut off. Then I kept hitting redial while I played with my ten month old daughter who for some reason didn't want to sleep last night, keeping one eye on Bond in Quantum of Solace. Finally when I got through a second time I was again disconnected. The third attempt was the charm and within a few minutes I was talking to Reverand Bob, Shuli and Collin Quinn. I managed to plug the book, Permuted Press, and the fact that it can be purchased at Borders before getting cut off a third and final time.

Maybe its my phone? Thanks Butters!!!

Is that Collin Quinn formerly of SNL who got fired for continually making OJ jokes?  I Was wondering what happened to him!

And congrats!  45 seconds is still better than 0, that's wonderful.

Yeah, Colin and Jenny went on to bigger and better things, right, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the host, the dude...and what became of him?

That's purely and simply awesome.

I think Colin took Norm MacDonald's seat after he was fired for the OJ jokes...Quinn continued to fight the power though. He was really good on that Comedy Central show he had post-SNL, damned if I can remember the name.

I don't think Jenny McCarthy was on Remote Control.  I think she was on Singled Out.

Ken Ober, host of Remote Control, died in 2009.

His co-hosts were Colin Quinn, Marisol Masey (later replaced by) Kari Wurhur.  (sp) (sp)
