Yup, coming next week I'll have an interview with the Zombie Girl herself, 16-year old Emily Hagins.

She wrote, produced and directed her first feature film at age 12, then another one shortly thereafter and now she's working on her third movie. Emily's a busy girl!

Next weeks UNLEASHED Book Giveaway will be extra special, too. Emily has graciously donated not one but TWO copies of her DVD, Pathogen, to give away. So there will be two winners next week. One will receive a Permuted Press title as well as a copy of Pathogen and another will receive just the DVD of Emily's first movie.

Emily Hagins is an independent filmmaker from Austin, Texas. At age 12 she began shooting her first film, Pathogen, making her the youngest female teenager in the United States to make a feature length movie. She’s been heavily influenced by the likes of Perter Jackson and Lord of the Rings as well as a tonne of horror and zombie flicks. She’s currently sending her second film, The Retelling, out to film festivals for consideration and she’s already begun work on her third feature, a comedy-collaboration about kids making a movie. Emily and I had a great time talking and giving away some books ad DVDs.
