Mutts, fantastic progress!

The ironies of the show just get deeper and deeper, don't they? Season 4 is by far my favorite season. Tons of superb drama. There's a reason this show has been called the Great American Novel for TV.

I agree about the characters, and, yeah, Campbell is now actually tolerable and likable sometimes. He's grown up, I guess. Don's character is an achievement (and you'll see his development goes even further this season). And Roger... LOL, Roger consistently makes me chuckle. Love that guy.

We're now 3 episodes into season 5; that includes the two-part premiere. Brilliant stuff. Different though. Different.

Fantastic! I think I only need to order two off of amazon through Roku now.

Snell did you say you like The Wire? Sorry I know I asked you before. I really think the styles compare so fans of one should be fans of both.

I have been liking THE WIRE. I'm still in the first season. Up to the beginning of the Omar stuff.

Omar...one of the greatest TV characters of all time.

Caught up.

I'll tell you what...they don't stall out on a story line do they? I mean wow...they just hit a topic and move on. A network would have turned 6 episodes into 24 beating us over the head. Hiring a black secretary would have been an entire show and then the next on how the person fits in. Just bogging down in social issues. Mad Men? 90 seconds.

Hah! Great point. What do you think of the new season, Mutts? I think Bobbie and I might be the only ones here up to date. Specifically, what did you think of the latest ep, "Faraway Places," where everyone goes on a trip?

I was wrong I guess I still have two more. That ones next. Last night we saw the "chewing gum on HIS PUBIS!" episode. I laughed so hard I'm sure people two buildings away heard me!

Look I have no shame in admitting I dabbled with a few things I shouldn't have when I was in high school.

So anyway...let me just say whoever wrote that scene mixed in some very realistic issues and did an outstanding job with that LSD scene. When Roger had that weird issue with his cigarette I was laughing pretty hard.

Strange season so far but I like it. I am curious how they are going to carry on in future season's. The show has seemingly run its course at this point. Roger has gone full circle and Don is about to I think. That's no complaint, I am just genuinely curious to see how they write themselves out of this.

If I'm Don, does that mean I hate Matthew?

Are you guys caught up with the newest season? It's strange, but this show has a greater ability to unnerve me than BREAKING BAD.
