"Every Sigh, The End" cover preview
« on: March 28, 2007, 11:30:53 AM »

Here's the first draft of the wrap-around cover for Every Sigh, The End by our very own Christian Dovel:

Christian has a few more tweaks to apply, but the general layout is very close to what will be on the final cover.

Well, you sold me the book already.  (Yes, I'll admit it, I do judge a book by it's cover to a moderate degree.  Who wants an ugly book?)

Great job, Christian.

Thank you very much!
And remember, you don't have to admit to judging the book by the cover only to buying the for cover!

I am very excited about the cover as well.  I could not have asked the awesome designers over at Permuted to give me a more pulpy, dark, intriguing cover on the first try.

Fantasitc!  Ultimately I know the cover is such small part of the book but it is very gratifying to come up with something that the author likes.

Thanks Kody.  And now that ''BAD-ASS'' has come from an outside source I can put it on a business card.

I like it a lot. Very good use of orange and shadows to evoke a creepy mood.

Well done!

Wow, you are being wayyy too modest, Mr. D.  I believe it is the cover, most of the time, that draws a reader to a book. THEN you read synopsis and make your decision. :)
Many times I have looked at a book that ended up having a great cover, but was of no interest to me whatsoever.
