Scratch that, we got snow again. As it happens, the snow was nice enough to wait until I returned to a daylight schedule.  :P

Prior to last week's body-clock reset, I think it had been several weeks since I'd seen the sun for more than a few minutes at a stretch. I do believe somewhat in the notion that creativity is more prevalent at nighttime, but I think after a while I'd gotten too used to the dark, as pacing about in the light seems to be spurring new ideas. Or maybe it was just a vitamin D deficiency.

The rabbit was in a mood today. So far have found 5 implanted eggs. Doctors plan to open my head Tuesday, but by then I'll have hatched.

My deepest thoughts of 2011 (mostly from Twitter, so you know they're extra deep).

• There are few things in life better than a Fall day and a half-finished book. One of them is drugs
• My favorite plural noun has to be "Draculas."
• I didn't know "enfant terrible" was French for "personality disorder." Just kidding I did
• "Every cloud has a silver lining." I think your brain is lined with mercury
• Picturing the climax of Raiders with everyone's faces melting set to the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme
• Should the zompocalypse occur, and one of the dead picks up a gun & aims at you, the best thing is to point at it & say "You can't do that."
• Always fun to end a story by placing the protagonist in a straitjacket. Haha fuck you protagonist
• Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? Your mom.
• Decades-old paperbacks smell like happy.
• It's the almost-thought that counts! I'm almost thinking nearly all the time.
• If no one has yet made an album called AVANT-GARDE UP YOUR ASS, someone should.
• Subconscious tip of the day: according to my tape recorder, I awoke sometime in the middle of the night and muttered, "If you've got the gift, expect the grift." So be ready for it I guess
• If you name your kid "Scut" he's probably going to be a malcontent.

'Twas the night before Christmas in Hell
and Satan lit out for a spell.
As he flew 'round the earth
     Hades hollered with mirth,
"Last Yuletide before 2012!"

A friend of mine in high school said that if he ever made an album, it would be titled PROSECUTORS WILL BE VIOLATED.  (To my knowledge, he never did.)

Hope everyone closes out the year in good spirits (or on good spirits, at least) and here's to a healthy and prosperous 2013.

P.S. Sending my vibrations out to those left behind in the Fourth World: fuck you fuckers. ahahahaha

My deep thoughts for 2013?  Hmmm, Um, Hmmm.  So much to say when it comes to politics and social views but guess I wouldn't have anything to say that someone else wouldn't have beaten me to it.  The world is full of assholes with an opinion, me being just one among them.

I guess my deepest thought is to all those first time writers out there working hard on their books and looking forward to a completion this next year, be it formally or self-published... I wish the best of luck to you guys and look forward to checking out your books.  I hope your dreams come true for a breakaway hit or atleast have a hellava good time writing.   :)

Anyone know why "Nyarlathotep (geometry)" redirects to the below article on Wikipedia? Google's leading me in circles & I'm wondering if it's just a goof. Or did mathematicians really adopt this name? I'd have thought a trapezohedron...

Have never seen anything like this in the insect world. Wow! First thing I thought of was an avatar of Nyarlathotep. Meet Brahmaea wallichii.

Every horror we imagine is derivative of the reality we observe, including those indescribable forms the unconscious anticipates when plunged into sightless dark.

That is so beautiful. Sometimes I think that "find true beauty in your own backyard" was meant literally. It's all right there. Just have to slow down and look.
