Yeah and congrats!  Now, for name suggestions. . . .

How's 'Bacon" sound to you?  Because a boy named bacon would be quite popular. . .

Plus, you could give him credit for writing that Shaksper guy's better stuff.

I got a short story appearing in a Anthology for KnightsWatch Press. Permuted Press's own Scott Baker is in it as well so I feel pretty proud to be a part of it.

After the last few months I have had, I am excited to report a couple of tidbits of good news.

The first bit is that the final ballot for the Ditmars, the Australian Hugos, have been announced and somehow I am on there a few times, including the "Best New Talent" category. My Doctor Who review series has also been nominated - again! I don't expect to win, but it is a thrill to be nominated.

Secondly, I have a story appearing in a new anthology from Crazy 8 Press - ReDeus:Beyond Borders. You can see more here

My novel, Surviving the Crash, has FINALLY been subbed.  Three guesses as to where... ;)

Monday morning, I finished a 91,800 word novel.  And then the next night, wrote 3800 words of the second part of that trilogy.

2013 is shaping up to be a great year for me, so far.  I've got a few cool things to share:

- as of this morning, I have lost 61.2 lbs
- the paperback/e-book editions of my novel ANIMOSITY will be released by Permuted Press in a year or so
- the limited hardcover edition of my new novel UGLY AS SIN has been acquired for publication . . . details to come as soon as I've signed the contract

:) :) :)

Needless to say, I'm smilin'.

Sorry to blow my own trumpet again but this weekend was the Aussie National SF Convention where they, amongst other things, present the Ditmar Awards (our Hugos, essentially). Unexpectedly, I was nominated for four which I knew, given the competition, I would lose but I was thrilled to be nominated. Even more unexpectedly, for me especially, I won Best New Talent. Again, sorry, but I simply had to share with you all as this community has been a huge help to me as I try and develop as a writer.
