Has anyone used this program? It's free blog site, or you can set up a pay site of your own. One of my friends uses it and loves it. I wish I wasn't so damned suspicious sometimes.

Not that I use it myself, but my wife uses it for her content management system for More Vikings.  I've been cool with providing links to MySpace and LiveJournal on my own website.

I've used it before. I highly recommend it or Mambo. There is a lot of plugins and apps that are user made.

Best blogging platform I've ever worked with. I haven't got any experience with using it for content management, but I've heard good things about that too.

Wordpress is THE BEST blogging site.

You can do so many things with it it's not even funny.

A good example is the www.gravesidetales.com website, all through wordpress. Jodi Lee's website is also run through wordpress, www.jodilee.ca

Plus, I run my writing blog (http://whatsupwithboye.wordpress.com) and my Inner saga website (http://insideyourinnerdemons.blogspot.com) through there.

Really, the possibilites are endless. If you're not careful with posting from external souces, you can fuck things up (like I did on the Inner site last night) but the support team respond VERY quickly and always help you through the end.

I was actually thinking of starting a blog, Kody. I want to put a few of my anthology stories there and Spook Rock. Just something to have a little fun with and to get some exposure. What did you mean about 'posting from external sources?' Putting something in from another site for instances, text or photos?

They ask you this when signing up. Which is best to use?

Windows Live Writer is the 'external' source I talk about. Sometimes it fucks up if you're not being careful about how you're posting stuff, lol.

As to your username, I'd just use your name. Or, if your name isn't available (which it should be,) add a 'writes' or whatever, lol.

I'm either really slow or something happened when I registered. I can't get to any of the pages where you can 'add new' or 'write'. It says there are various ways to write in a blog, but I only get the support pages and not the actual 'page' or 'post' screens.

They were doing website maintenance, Pat. That might be the reason.

No, it's still doing the same thing. Add New is supposed to be at the left somewhere, and Write the same thing. I don't see those. All I keep getting is the support page with only the screen shots of those things.

i dislike the useful screen-to-links ratio at Wordpress. it's like, over half the screen is devoted to your links instead of your blog. yuck.

Can't delete the account either. It says you can just leave it alone for a certain length of time and it will be removed automatically. You know, I'm really certain there are things in this world that actually 'See Me Coming.'

I can't really relate to that, Gren, I never get that far.
