They have to do the fucking MRI again. GAH! *takes pixie stick and hits dumb doctors with it* Admit it, they were confused that all they saw were gay space cops. Always on the brain.  |

A very small one, at that.
The MRI doesn't say if it's cancerous, but it's small (very small.) It's located in the area where speach and speach developtment is located. The doctor said that the worst that could possibly happen is that I'd lose speech. He said I wouldn't be myself for a little while ( a few months) after that, lol.
We'll be going to Salt Lake City to have my head cut open and the tumor biopsied.
Just want to let you know that. Two different doctors said that I shouldn't have any problems. It's read on the surface of my brain, so they'll be able to get it out pretty easy.

They'd be cutting a small hole about the size of a quarter for the biopsy, and possibly make a larger one if they decide to remove it the same day. Yeah, they'd mean temporarily (at least I think.) I don't see how I'd lose speech permanently. :O

So this is what was causing the vertigo? Bloody hell. That's awful. Still, if the doctors say that you've got nothing to worry about, then you haven't. In my experience, doctors tend to be pessimists. They tell you you'll never recover and then you're tottering around a year later without much trouble. And if there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that the human brain can beat almost anything. It can completely rewire itself to deal with not being able to use a certain part to it's full potential--if you do have any trouble afterwards, you'll recover. Like Bobbie, I demand to be kept updated! I'm going to be worrying about you till I hear that you're fine and well and that you've bitch-slapped that tumor into outer space (Gay Space Cop jurisdiction, naturally). |
