Synopsis for BESTIAL by William Carl
« on: March 15, 2007, 09:47:00 AM »

The world has gone mad.

Beneath the dim light of a full moon, the entire population mutates into huge, snarling monsters, their every move based upon their basest, most bestial desires.  The streets are filled with the snarls of the killing machines and the grunts of their elemental passions.  Everything they see is either prey or a mate.  Planes fall from the sky.  Highways are clogged with abandoned cars.  The city burns.

Only four disparate people are unaffected by the metamorphosis - a smooth-talking thief who maintains the code of the Old West, an African-American woman who has struggled her entire life to emerge unscathed from a life in the ghetto, a wealthy middle-aged woman who finds everything she once believed to be a lie, and a teen-aged runaway turning tricks on the city streets for food.

Together, they must fight off the army of beasts during the nights, fending off the claws and teeth that surround them.  During the daylight hours, they must cope with the same beasts--reverted back to their human form--many driven insane by the thought of what they did during the night.  Somehow, they must discover what caused this apocalypse and attempt to stop it from spreading... but another night with a full moon is coming...

Nope, it's already written (and not by me).  :)  But we are publishing it.

Definitely sounds good. Are these beasts werewolves by any chance?

What an awesome, original idea for an apocalyptic novel. I can't wait for it.

Hey everyone, thanks for showing so much interest already!  I'm astonished (I know, they make pills for that).

I hope everyone loves the book.  It's a big, burly action piece that doesn't let up very much.  It's also, I believe, a showcase for some extremely strong, conflicted characters.  In any case, it's got tons of action.  And thousands of werewolves.  Big ones.  Seven-eight foot tall.

I'm pleased as hell to be a part of the Permuted Family.

We're pleased as hell to have you.  Any lover of werewolves is an instant friend of mine - especially when they're HUGE werewolves.

Welcome.
