Just felt like sharing some excellent numbers with you all regrading the downloads for TZC based on Podiobooks.com numbers.

So far this month the podcast novel has seen 7,025 downloads which is excellent!

That brings the total downloads from Podiobooks.com to 9,716!

Downloads from the website itself are also up to 9,708!

So do the math and in total The Zombie Chronicles has been downloaded...wait for it...wait for it...

19,424 times!

Not bad, eh?

Now the lover of stats in me wants to know, is that 20K in downloads cumulative for all 9 chapters (which would make it a little over 2K per chapter) or is it per chapter?

cause 2K per chapt. is great.  The other thing to note is if your readership is increasing, are more people downloading each consecutive chapt?  Or even better, are the more recent downloads people who go back to read from the beginning?

And does it count adobe downloads, 'cause that's how I read it.

The 20K is all chapters combined, so yeah, around 2k per chapter. Readership is growing, especially on Podiobooks where new people subscribe and listen all the time.

As far as the most recent downloads thing goes, it's hard to tell. Podcast listeners are a funny bunch. We listen to and subscribe to *many* shows so sometimes we might not go back and listen to one for a few weeks. As long as the subscriber list is growing though, I know they will get listened to eventually. I have noticed that on my site though that when a later episode gets a hit, the very first episode gets a hit as well, so that's a good sign.

I have no idea what the Adobe downloads are, unfortunately there is no way of keeping track of them that I know of.
