...any film that can keep a straight face while claiming that the Confederate army used vampire shock troops at Gettysburg gets a thumbs up from me.

What, you didn't know this?

I visited the Gettysburg Museum in '82 and they failed to mention the involvement of vampires in the battle. I was only eight at the time, but I'm pretty sure I would have remembered that. Presumably it's based on more recent historical research.

Unless Hollywood is lying to me. I'll write to Santa and ask him.

It's been covered up, silly.  Like that moon landing thing, and the second gunman on the grassy knoll, and Soylent Green.

Total Recall
The movie harks back to Philip K. Dicks short "We'll Remember It for You Wholesale" much better - no Mars crap this time.

Which begs the question - should it have been called Total Recall? I mean, if it's a different adaptation, why give it the same title as the Verhoeven flick? If it's a remake, why change the main setting for the film? We Can Remember It For You Wholesale wasn't about Mars, but Total Recall was pretty much ALL about Mars. See the problem?

Wich they could of found a more emotive actor that Farrel to play the protagonist - but so it goes.

To be fair, it doesn't seem like a role that would require much emoting.

Oh, come on. The three-titted whore doesn't even show her nipples? Next you'll be telling me the bad guy doesn't get his arms torn off by an elevator. What is this, a PG-13?

Is there a pattern regarding mutated ho's? Extra 50% of breasts, how about nipples then?

And now more seriously - philistines want money so they need bigger audience. And so the castration of scenarios began.

The Usual Suspects. Another rewatch many, many years later. It hasn't really aged, and the ending still makes me smile.

Is there a pattern regarding mutated ho's? Extra 50% of breasts, how about nipples then?

She's probably an easy woman to please. Especially (as the old Red Dwarf joke goes) if you play the piano.

Makes you wonder what other surplus body parts she has... but let's not examine that too closely.

And now more seriously - philistines want money so they need bigger audience. And so the castration of scenarios began.

Not that it makes much of a difference in my neck of the woods. I've got 8 year olds in my class whose parents let 'em watch Paranormal Activity. Some of 'em see scarier stuff going on in their own houses, of course.

I do and I agree that should have gone with a different name.

Wich they could of found a more emotive actor that Farrel to play the protagonist - but so it goes.

The protagonist in the story is a much more emotve fella than either Arnold or Colin made him out to be.

Even with the PG-13 that costume is missing a key strip in the movie. A very key strip.
