For some reason I got the sense that, because the Observers don't follow the standard rules of time, maybe he hasn't been shot yet...

I'll bet you're right. Maybe we'll see him get shot in the season ender.

Now I'm actually convinced that the Observers weren't in the first few episodes this season.  Because I've spotted them in every episode since he came back.

My lovely lady tossed out the idea that maybe this latest episode--with the physics professor turned TSA guard-- is a hint as to where Observers come from.  No matter where you are on the timeline, solve these equations and you've just joined the most exclusive club in the multiverse.

I think it's a statement of how well your show is written that you can make "love" the answer to a major issue and it doesn't come across as a cop-out or just eye-rollingly bad.

Oh.  My.  God.

What kind of sick, twisted, soulless place is the other side...?

I think I might give this a go when I finish Supernatural or Madmen.

No love for the MANTIS?

 :D :D :D

It does make me wonder who the rest of this world's Justice League might be. Automan? The Greatest American Hero? Man From Atlantis? Any thoughts?

This has got me running TV superheroes from the late 70s and 80s in my mind.  Anyone remember Manimal? Lucan? Exo-Man?

I remember Exo-Man, Man from Atlantis, Lucan, Automan, Manimal...

All from YouTube clips, of course.  I couldn't possibly be old enough to remember any of them first hand.

I don't think it was a reference to the television show, though.  The description doesn't really match, and it seems more like we're supposed to believe Mantis is the iconic hero Bob Kane created back in the '30s to ride on the success of Superman.

Here's the real catch, though.  In season two, when Peter had gone to live on the other side, his apartment had framed comic book covers in it.  I remember the creators talking about the fact that they tweaked all of the covers so they weren't exactly like famous ones from our world (same layout but different colors or titles).  I'm pretty sure one of them was one of Frank Miller's Dark Knight covers, so now I want to go freeze frame and see what the title actually says...  ;D    :nerd:

I just got around to watching this episode.  Really.  First rate.  One of the best episodes ever.  For any series.

Fringe just got renewed for a fifth and final season.

Like CHUCK, they're getting thirteen episodes to wrap up everything.  And bring the show up to a syndicatable 100 episodes.   ;)

(yeah, syndicatable.  Just made it up.  Deal with it.)

I think I've missed something. What are the HK and why do they work on the Observers? I keep expecting to see then dodge the blasts like September did with bullets.

In a show of just how syndicatable it is, all episodes aside from the current season are there streaming in glorious HD on Amazon.

It's nice to see networks doing something smart like giving people the ability to legally buy their product. I wish more content producers would realize the best way to fight piracy is to make it possible to buy something. Seems so simple!

The entire series (so far) has also been running all weekend in back-to-back marathon fashion on The Science Channel, should your cable package be so-equipped.
