C.S. Lewis ( The Screwtape Letters ) Changed me.

You know, maybe it's an urban myth, but I once heard that when STL first came out, some christians started to burn copies of it.

I hadn't heard that, though Ihave met some Fundamentalist folks who won't read it because it uses devils as characters. :-\

Lets start right off with all the Permuted writers. I have yet to find a bad one.
with that said.......
C.S. Lewis ( The Screwtape Letters ) Changed me.
David Wellington
Richard Matheson
David Moody
Scott Sigler
Cormac Macarthy
Brian Keene
Dan Simmons
William R. Forstchen
Max Brooks
Peter Benchley
Judy Bloom* come on she ruled!
Shell Silverstein
Lewis Carroll
Charles Dickens
Marshall Dodge
Robert McCloskey ***** grew up on him! The best!! blueberries for sal, One Morning in Maine, Time of wonder, Make way for ducklings, the CLASIC***HOMER PRICE, and many more....
I will say again though, Permuted has given me plenty more people to love!!!

Hey Bruce! Have you had a chance to read any more Cormac McCarthy? I think I've read everything except one of his earlier novels and his play(s). I can't wait for his next novel to come out--but how do you follow up The Road? (and I hope they didn't drop the ball on the movie!)

correct me if I'm wrong (maybe one of you guys knows better than I do)...isn't there a significant born-again audience for post-apoc. zombie fiction?
