Nice review of BESTIAL by Monster Librarian
« on: July 04, 2008, 08:17:50 PM »

It's werewolf (there wolf) month at the Monster Librarian, and they've provided a very nice, pretty damn funny review of BESTIAL.  Here's a link to read it all, but I like this line a lot..."How best to describe William D. Carl’s debut novel? With tongue firmly in cheek. Bestial is a zombie novel in drag, dressed up in mother’s fur coat if you will. "

Enjoy!

More reviews, please!

Mr. Carl,
Hi! Just wanted to say I'm glad my husband and I stopped in Walden yesterday, and I'm really enjoying Bestial. I haven't been able to put it down! I even keep sneaking in chapters in while at work. My dads an avid reader and horror fan also, so I can't wait to tell him to go get your book. I just wish I would've thought about it yesterday and I could have had you sign a copy for him too. It would've made a great "just because" gift. I hope you reached your goal at the signing. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I look forward to more of your work!

                     Thanks for a great story!

Wow!  Thanks for brightening up my day, Valerie!

If you want a signed copy, I flat signed several at the store.  If you want it personalized, I work at least 40 hours a week at the Kenwood Waldenbooks.  Call first and ask if the werewolf dude is gonna be there!

Thanks again for the amazingly kind words, and I'm glad you're liking the book.

Things to do, come payday:

1) Clear some of my overdraft.
2) Put a little away for New Years Eve in Amsterdam.
3) Order the following CDs - something by ALABAMA 3 and the entire COVEN back catalogue.
4) Order the 'OH, THE HORROR!' t-shirt from BITEMARK CLOTHING (www.bitemarkclothing.com)
5) Organise and pay for updated DROP DEAD GORGEOUS fliers.
6) Go out, eat sushi and get pretty drunk. At least once.
7) Get myself a copy of William Carl's BESTIAL.

Yeah, I've quite a diverse range of music tastes. I'm into Gram Parsons, Tom Petty, Kid Rock, The Hollies, The Lemonheads - all artists with a little of the Southern Soul about 'em!

Thanks, drop dead, but I think we should rearrange that numbered list a little!

Hope you enjoy the hell outta it.
