Here's the rough draft of the cover "The Undead 2" which is officially titled "The Undead: Skin & Bones".

Having had a sip of water to wash away the taste of bile, I'd like to ask who commited this evil pic, and to ask if it's okay that I pop it on my LJ -- with credits and links to permutedpress.com, of course.

Certainly, post away!  The artist is Mike Bohatch (http://www.eyesofchaos.com).

Thanks,

Jacob,

How many people submitted a cover concept?  ... I know I did... I would love to see what people did ....

I have to say I'm loving Mike's work...

Now I want to write a book to go with one of his covers.

Bohatch created the cover for Hellbound Books’ zombie anthology, Cold Flesh, and that’s how I became familiar with his work—I loved it! So when Jacob and I were seeking cover art for Skin & Bones, I decided to browse his website, www.eyesofchaos.com.  Glad I did.

It’s great to have an artist like Bohatch affiliated with the project.

Mike Bohatch did an awesome job. There's a quality to it that makes me think of Stephen Gammell's great art in the old Scary Stories books, but even more visceral.

Ick!...In a good way, of course. Sick and morbid...

Dumb question, but is Undead: Skin and Bonesthe second Undead book?

Yes.  But the order doesn't really matter (all the stories are unconnected) so we thought it would be cooler to call it something other than "The Undead 2".

is Undead: Skin and Bones the second Undead book?

To further clarify, The Undead: Skin & Bones takes its subtitle from my novella, "Skin & Bones," which will be featured in the anthology.
