Blurbs for BESTIAL:WEREWOLF APOCALYPSE
« on: April 26, 2008, 08:45:47 AM »

Hi everyone.  I've started getting blurbs for BESTIAL, and I wanted, nay needed, to share the excitement!

"If you have an appetite for werewolves, this book is an all-you-can-eat buffet! Carl has done for werewolves what Romero did for zombies, and he's done it with flair and a sense of gruesome fun."
-- Ray Garton, author of LIVE GIRLS and RAVENOUS

"With pithy but smart prose, William Carl paints gruesome scenes of unrelenting savagery. But what really sets this book apart is how it gently and eloquently examines human emotions and relationships - some good, some monstrous, but all deep, compelling, and fascinating. This is the kind of debut novel authors dream of writing."
--Kim Paffenroth, author of DYING TO LIVE

"Dread-Destruction-Death . . . William Carl's BESTIAL delivers these three D's en masse, taking us into a world where survival of the fittest is a gross understatement and fear is the norm. In this page-turning, rocket-paced novel, Carl goes about proving once and for all that monsters do exist. And they're ravenous, unrelenting . . . and could very well live in us all."
--Deborah LeBlanc, author of MORBID CURIOSITY and WATER WITCH--

I'll post others as I get them.  there are still a few authors out there with ARCs that haven't responded, and I hope they all like it enough to say something nice.

I am truly getting excited as the release date draws ever nearer.

High praise, indeed. Kim's comments about the character development within the novel appeals to me, in particular.

I'm even more keen to read it now, Bill. Roll on Release Date.

Those are excellent blurbs, Bill.

Hope the others that come in are just as positive.

Another blurb just came in...
"Bestial grabs hard from the first page and doesn't let up. Carl is an accomplished writer, and this is an excellent first novel with an engaging story and well-drawn characters. Can't wait to see what he does next!"
--Nate Kenyon, author of BLOODSTONE

If you haven't read BLOODSTONE, it's out from Leisure right now, and it is excellant!  A great, spooky ghost story with strong characters you actually care about.
