Well so far we placed first in Central Jersey, and third in the State. Our next competition is november 17th. It is the Eastern Regional, consisting of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington DC.

The other Regionals are called New England Region, Southeast Region, Southwest Region, Midsouth Region, Midamerica Region, Pacific Northwest Region, and Wescon Region. Those obviously are the states in those regions and the top two from each region will be the teams we will go up against at Nationals, (presuming we move on.) So that would be 14 teams all togehter in the end competing for their division's best in the nation! (The division Katie is in is Midget Large Novice.)

NEWSFLASH!

Jon Bonjovi is the coooooolest man in the world right now, and I will personally put him up on a pedestle from here on out!

The reason?

He has promised to sponsor our trip to Disney World for Nationals if we place on Saturday!

The Bonjovi's (Or should I say, Bongiovanni's) have been established in Sayreville and the surrounding area for many many years, and it is Jon's hometown. He was here just a year ago at the High School to do some motivational speaking. (We had Oprah too. It was all part of the whole "Hometown Heroes" thing, and the inspiration behind their hit song "Who Says You Can't Go Home") His niece is on one of our competitor's cheer squads, although not the same division. The local supermarket has pics of him up all over the place and I find it amusing that he is literally WORSHIPPED in this town. Of course, most of the parents here had gone to school with him so I guess it is understandable. Anyway, someone got a hold of someone else, and the word got back that we are very close, and that it would be the first time ever since the Leprechauns were founded that we made it all the way. (Our other township league, the Parlin Panthers have gone before.)

Anyway, I thought this was really great news, and I wanted to share!
