No my husband cannot participate because he works 7 days a week and only takes days off to attend special events.

Uh, this is not a Leprechaun pic, but my daughter is also in hip hop dancing. Her instructor has done tours with Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, etc. as a backup dancer. This is another one of my daughter's goals, to work in videos and dancing and other appearances. (Maybe even someday being a Rockette!) Anyhoo, Kat DeLuna (Wind up) recently appeared at Club Abyss and Katie got to be one of the dancers for that appearance. This was her first event.



Katie is the one on the bottom left (Kat's making the peace sign right by her head.) and my niece Jennifer is right above her. (With the glasses.)

Well Kody's 15, Katie is 13. She'll be 14 in February. I think their names go well together...Kody and Katie...now isn't that cute?!!

Anyhoo, back to cheerleading and the Leprechauns.

Thank God, they've updated the uniforms!  When I was in school--I was never a cheerleader--they had those crazy skirts, in whacked polyester. 

The uniform is great, something a GIRL would pick for herself.

I wanted to post the video from the competition, but apparently its against the rules. So I can't do that, but I can post random pics from the competitions just as long as they do not relate to their competition cheer directly. So expect mostly the crazy parent pics and maybe a trophy or two....or three?

Unfortunately Katie had taken the camera with her, and I missed the opportunity to get pics of this competition's trophy but I will try to get one at the State Qualifier next, if they are so lucky to place again.

Naw, its fine. Katie has had random guys make passes and trust me, she can handle herself. She has a thick skin, a big mouth, and attitude enough to make everyone fall back if they cross any lines. I've taught her well...

(Besides, we live in an area where the wolves are out, and if you are a sheep you'll get eaten alive. Trust me she knows what time it is!)
