Sorry, but I have to say that this is my first offical disapointing read out of Permuted.

Lots of good ideas ruined by horrible pacing.  :(

I really had to fight to get throught the first third of the book but after that there was no payoff.

If you don't like the pacing now, you should have seen the first edition...

Well, the book as a whole isn't bad. The pacing was bad, but that's just me. I have a real hard time with slow paced books but I can see why most people who have read the book would like it.

Lots of good things in there but pacing can be a deal breaker for me.
