Down the Road: A Zombie Horror Story (Special Edition)
« on: September 11, 2007, 02:25:22 PM »

I admit that I only scanned the other topics in here so if this has been answered somewhere else please re-direct me (nicely).

However, amazon says that thier Down the Road is ''special''. For reals?  What is so special about the special edition?

(my momma says I'm special)

It's been professionally edited and laid out and includes a new afterword from Bowie.  It is special compared to the original release!

Oh hey...does that mean that DTR was out there somewhere before it found the nurturing, loving home Permuted?
If so, I did not know that!  I don't get out much.

Yep, it was originally self-published.

I'd so buy this edition. I have the original, and although I'm not big on the whole special edition thing I definitely would Bowie's because he's paid his dues. (Climbing that ladder, and staying up there for the longest.) I knew his original was self published. I admire him for that.

Checked out the DtR I Amazon page and found some great and cruel reviews.  Many of the points are valid, and I'm glad that my work made them feel something, even it was anger.  Knowing my artistic expression made someone "feel" something makes me very happy... I wrote some fun, "Non-flaming" responses to theirs...

Check out the reviews, and if you have a minute or two and have read DtR I, leave a review... good, bad, or otherwise...

I already know I rock, but that's beside the point...

I didn't like the personal attack on you. It went way too far trying to draw parallels between George Z. (the main character) and you. I can agree with some of the complaints, but to post disparaging remarks about your personal life was just wrong.
