Okay,

What did everyone think of this movie?

I felt it was okay but a little TOO ambitious.

Also, I think Nolan ran out of ideas and essentially cribbed Knightfall and No Man's land.

Over the top, dragged in the second half, and featured yet another villain trying to drive the people of Gotham to corrupt and destroy themselves, but overall it was a solid flick. I liked the big plot twist, although my friend who's more of a DC nerd than I was slapping his forehead that he didn't see it coming.

I liked it. I wasn't impressed with solo actions (Batman vs Bane as BANE is not someone you are trying to take in 1 to 1 battle). The bit with spine went a little bit too easy and sometimes it was hard to understand Bane.

But overall very positive feeling after the screening. Good ending.

I think it's a matter of expectations. I liked Liam in 1st part. Joker was deadly in second. Bane is very good, but this is third installment I think expectations are big. You have to admit that this Bane, even with all differences when compared to comic book character, is much better then this stupid freak from BATMAN & ROBIN.

I'd argue the movie needed to be done in two parts like they're doing with everything from Twilight to Harry Potter these days.

Bane's plot was big enough that the movie could have slapped on an additional twenty-minutes so certain parts didn't feel so rushed like Bruce and Miranda sleeping together while leaving us time to get adjusted to Gotham City becoming Revolutionary France/Escape from Gotham City.

Really, I think Bane finally got the depiction he deserved as the one guy smarter and stronger than Batman. Even if, you know, he sounded like Robot Sean Connery.

I think the film's biggest problem was that they were trying to make it BIGGERBETTERFASTER than the previous two, and ended up trying to do too much and going too far over the top. Bane's plan was implausible to say the least, when you consider the logistics of holding the equivalent of Manhattan Island hostage for five straight months without somebody on the outside (or the inside, for that matter) figuring out a way to thwart you. The Joker's crazy schemes in the previous film were just on the other side of believable, but suspension of disbelief was rather more strained in this one.

It also made the people of Gotham look like a bunch of dimwitted sheep, but that's nothing new. And were the cops trapped in the sewers for all that time provided with hair clippers and shaving kits, as well as food and water? I dunno.

I have to agree with that - few things were either rushed or placed as explanation for other thing. Whole plot with anarchy in Gotham lasting almost half of a year - for me - was just an excuse so no one will complain how come Bruce got on his feet after having vertebrae shifted by Bane. So they covered one action with low probability with other. But it's true US govt had lots of time to sort this out and they didn't do much. Gotham looked like abandoned colony with Bane and his goons running the show.

I liked the bits that showed fighting crime gets your hands dirty.

What was the story with Bane's mask? It was hard to hear few things what exactly was that gas he inhaled constantly?
I think I'm happy they got rid of the Venom totally and they've changed Pena Duro story to fit the plot.

I've figured that out, my wife said she hear it's "ether" but I can't believe something like that can be taken and person will be focused and ready for action. Unless Bane was already addicted/resistant.

No, no - I mean this looks pretty tight I'm surprised he managed to open his mouth at all.

I really wonder what kind of damage was done to him, I was hoping that big scar on his spine will be explained somehow. He speaks different then Vader - like his voice modulation changes. So I guess vocal chords sustained some sort of injury. But he will be remembered as a bad ass who was taken down from (spoiler!) cannon mounted on the bike.

I thought he deserved a better death scene, myself. He's the unbeatable badass villain for most of the flick, then you find out his backstory and almost start to sympathise with him - almost - and then he gets taken out by a sight gag.

I'm bored with epic death scenes. Bullet of unnamed cop cannot kill supervillain. Only hero can do it. There was no lakes of acid or rooftop to fall from. Catwoman didn't have a chance to take out Bane in fair fight.
