Well I apologize, Lord Anubis, but as far as I understood, the forum was titled 'General Discussion,' so I didn't think it would upset anyone to DISCUSS, in general, you might say, the fact that I was offering my book for free. I understand that "Promote Your Stuff" is the place for pumping up your own achievements, but I didn't know there was a restriction on announcing my free offer in the general discussion section.

I'm pretty sure the thread in question was originally in General Discussion and got moved to the Promote forum later.
