THE KILLING FLOOR: a novel of THE INFECTION by Craig DiLouie
« on: April 13, 2012, 12:05:10 PM »

For those who like their read bloody: Allow me to introduce THE KILLING FLOOR: a novel of THE INFECTION, recently published by Permuted Press, in the hopes that you will add it to your personal library. If you enjoyed THE INFECTION and my earlier novel TOOTH AND NAIL, you'll love THE KILLING FLOOR.

The mystery virus struck down millions. Three days later, its victims awoke with a single violent purpose: spread the Infection. As the world lurched toward the apocalypse, some of the Infected continued to change, transforming into horrific monsters.

America's far-flung military has returned home to wage a horrific war against its own country, engaged in a fierce battle to retake Washington, DC. Two hundred miles away, Ray Young, survivor of a fight to save a refugee camp from hordes of Infected fleeing the burning ruins of Pittsburgh, awakes from a coma to learn he has also survived Infection.

But this is no miracle. Ray is not immune. Instead, he has been transformed into a superweapon that could end the world ... or save it.

In THE KILLING FLOOR, Craig DiLouie's chilling apocalyptic vision portrayed in THE INFECTION continues, presenting a nightmarish struggle for survival like no other.

How to get infected: THE KILLING FLOOR is now available in trade paperback, popular eBook formats (Kindle, Nook, etc.) and soon, audio book at online book sellers around the world.

For more information, including ordering information and a book trailer--accessible through the top menu--along with reviews of other books, short films and other apocalyptic horror media--check out www.craigdilouie.com.

Thank you! I hope you enjoy the book.

"A high-octane, nail-biter of a zombie novel ... Craig DiLouie is one of the new masters of zombie fiction." --Jonathan Maberry, author of DEAD OF NIGHT and ROT & RUIN

"Harrowing action so thrilling you can't help but get lost in DiLouie's nightmares ... More than a sequel. This is a lesson in how the killing gets done in zombie country." --Joe McKinney, Bram Stoker Award-winning author of DEAD CITY and FLESH EATERS

"One truly amazing apocalyptic novel." --Peter Clines, author of EX-HEROES and 14

Craig, great job on the trailer! Excellent juxtaposition. Creates tons of instant pathos.

Now that's a pretty cool trailer. Good work, Craig

Yes, I'd read The Zombie Survival Guide as many times as the next guy, but my whole Z-Plan revolved around -not- getting close enough to the deadheads in order to fight them in hand-to-hand combat. No thanks. Just stay the hell away and put one between their eyes from a safe distance.

Nice trailer. I've not read The Infection yet . . . is it advisable to read that before The Killing Floor?

Why ask, right? I could just buy both . . .

Read The Infection first.  Then The Killing Floor

Do it when you have lots of free time so you don't miss any work. :)

Both books kick ass. I wouldn't expect less from author of Tooth & Nail.

Makes me wonder what kind of sick b****rd I am to like gut wrenching stories like that :)
