Zombie Youth: Playground Politics
« on: April 09, 2012, 07:52:37 PM »

Severed Press (www.severedpress.com) recently picked up Playground Politics. It will be the first novel in the new Zombie Youth series. The Kindle edition is available through Amazon and paperback copies will be released soon! You can check out the first section and cover art at www.hegoodhue.wordpress.com. A huge thanks to David Dunwoody for his cover quote.

"Cover-to-cover apocalyptic thrills and tension - unrelenting."

Zombie Youth has just been released in paperback (about 400 pages) and is available on Amazon. Please drop by and check it out. If you have already purchased a copy, first, thank you and second, please stop by Amazon and let me know what you think. The reviews are starting to come in, but I'm interested in what you guys think. Thanks!

Look for Zombie Youth ads in the June issue of Fangoria and an upcoming edition of The Zombie Times!

"Kudos to the author for making me care about the characters. Also for making me sit on the edge of my seat and nervously biting my nails on more than one occasion. Excellent work! I look forward to possible sequels or any other books by this talented author!"

Hey Everyone,

I just received a review from Monster Librarian and wanted to posted a section of it:

"Can readers tolerate one more book on the subject? Yes; we can if it's a good one. Zombie Youth: Playground Politics is the first in a new Young Adult series that successfully strains the curd from the milk-toast avalanche of zombie lit and makes a nice, stinky cheese from it...In a super-creepy way, he makes the end of days even more likely--almost logical...Goodhue's voice and style are flawlessly aimed at teen readers...Fortunately, much of the gross stuff is tempered by wry humor that lifts the whole book onto a higher level, nearly to adult cross-over."
-Monster Librarian

The full review can be found here: http://www.monsterlibrarian.com/zombiesya.htm#Zombie_Youth:_Book_1:_Playground_Politics

Check out the review and all the other great stuff on their site.

Thanks,
H.E.

 No offense was meant by the inclusion of that quote, especially with regards to the quality work that comes out from Permuted authors...my apologies if it seemed that way...I just liked the fact that the book was "a nice, stinky cheese" and it would have been a bit odd to have that part without the other.

I was just shaking my head at milquetoast (n.) being spelled wrong and used wrong in a book review.

No problem past that...

And there in lies the rub with quotes and reviews, right? Anyway, thanks for the reply. I hope you'll give the book a shot.

A quick update from the Zombie Youth universe:

Two new reviews have just been released from BuyZombie and Bricks of the Dead. Be sure to check those out, as well as the other great things on those sites:

BuyZombie: http://www.buyzombie.com/2013/01/07/reviews-of-zombie-related-things/zombie-youth-playground-politics-review/

Bricks of the Dead: http://bricksofthedead.com/2013/01/08/book-review-zombie-youth/

Also there is still about a month remaining to enter the Goodreads giveaway for a free copy of Zombie Youth.

And finally, the second ZY book is in the process of being finished and should hopefully be out soon.

Thanks,
~H.E.
