Bob Clampett from Warner Bros once said that Tweety Bird was originally created as a pink baby bird, but was later changed to a canary with yellow feathers because the censors objected to his nudity. Clampett found it odd that in all the years that followed, no one ever mentioned the fact that Porky Pig didn't wear pants.
