Hi everyone,

Just wanted to bring your attention to m new fantasy book, exclusive to Amazon Kindle and free for Prime members:
Song of the Ancestors Book I: Web of the Spider Queen.

From the Description:  Combining elements of horror and sword and sorcery, John Grover weaves an epic fantasy tale full of action, mystery and suspense.

A long vanquished evil has returned to the beautiful and peaceful realm of Orum. An evil that will stop at nothing to plunder and enslave all of the realm’s people and lay waste to its lands. An evil that refuses to die, that has ravaged every realm it has touched. Its name is Sinnia, the Spider Queen and she has set her eyes back on the one world that eludes her grasp.

The leadership races must come together and harness the old power of their ancestors, sing their song of lore as one people and defeat this horror once and for all. These races will come to discover a long lost secret about their own ancestry, their connection to each other and the realm itself, a secret that will change their world…forever.

Some details about my new Fantasy Novella:

SONG of the ANCESTORS Book I : Web of the Spider Queen was a labor of love. An unexpected story that I never thought would see the light of day.

I am John Grover, teller of dark tales, weaver of shadows and spinner of nightmares so it came as a surprise when this tale kept calling to me from the beyond.

I am best known for writing horror and tales of the supernatural, stories with modern settings and unbelievable situations. I decided I needed a change.

This is my first foray into fantasy fiction. It is a classic tale of epic fantasy adventure complete with massive battles, ruined castles, dark, dank catacombs, murky swamplands and majestic forests. There are many monsters
and beasts from legend as well as few new ones thrown in. The classic good against evil story told within a journey to save a world. If you like heroic adventures, clashing of swords and skies filled with arrows....this is the story for you. I fashioned it much like most epic fantasy tales with a few twists of my own.

The characters in the world face a relentless evil that will not rest until it lays waste to its land. She is a dark and monstrous Queen...with a lust for consuming entire worlds. Ah the characters... I could not help but fall in love with them. From the nimble, tenacious elves to the honorable and fierce amazons and the magical but delicate fairies.  The three races couldn't be more different and they lived much separate, secluded lives from each other but have needed to work together, as one people, to destroy the evil that darkens their once beautiful lands.

The book started as a short story and after a few years of it nagging at me, I realized that this world had a lot more to tell me about itself, so I expanded it into a novella. It is the first of a series novellas and I hope readers will enjoy this new direction in my writing. I keep learning about the people that inhabit this world every day.  As I sit down to write about them, another layer opens about the Amazon Queen or the leader of the Elven Tribes or the Stern Fairy consort that watches over his fading Queen.  Their tales are not over...they have so much more to tell me.
Don't miss out. There is a lot more action, intrigue, romance, mystery and adventure waiting in the stories to come.  Give it a try...it won't take you long at all. I promise. This is a novella series and would read perfect on your kindle while on that subway home, or at lunch or waiting for dinner to finish cooking. Get tangled in the Web of the Spider Queen.
Song of the Ancestors Book I: Web of the Spider Queen is a Kindle exclusive and free for Amazon Prime members.
