Avengers, or I Am Sick And Tired...
« on: February 07, 2012, 06:34:09 PM »

...of these melonfarming Skrulls on my melon farming PLANET!

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/bGt-saFvkNk" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/bGt-saFvkNk</a>

Downey's response to Loki just makes me giggle like a fool.

And really?  NO ONE PUT THIS HERE?

It is pretty damn awesome, isn't it?

However, poor Hawkeye looks even more out of place than usual.

I've heard they're not the Skrulls, though, which is a pity.

I mean, they're so...Skrullish.

Yes.

However, poor Hawkeye looks even more out of place than usual.

He's dropping off the top of a skyscraper, and still aiming at flying foes.  He's the beer hero.  Screwth, I've had a mancrush on Renner since it was announced that he's Hawkeye, one that hasn't been so strong since Hugh Jackman as Wolverine (but that was nearly killed with Wolverine:Origins).  Switchblade bow for the win.

That's because the Fantastic Four has the rights to the Skrulls, not the Avengers.

Oohhh... maybe they're Kree.

In Ultimates, they had a cool name... but I forget it.

I don't know.  I'm excited about it, don't get me wrong.  It just caught me off guard that Joss Whedon decided to go so retro with it...

Not that that's a bad thing...

Actually, Whedon's been quoted saying  they are neither Kree or Skrulls.  He said both races are deserving more depth than all of the Avenger's personalities plus Loki really allow.

I am looking forward to seeing this....in 2D.....

I bloody tried 3D 3 or four times and the 'ghosting' (i.e. seeing the 3D but with a secondary image 1" to the left) made it unwatchable.

Funny we were talking about Skrulls.

The Avengers Board Battle Game has Skrulls as the opponents.

However, the Legos have much different baddies.

I think it's come out in a couple of the released-before-the-embargo reviews that they're the Chituari (?? spelling ??), which I believe are the Ultimates version of the Skrulls (and the name Doug was trying to remember a few posts above).

This is... by no means... official, though, Clark Gregg has commented the abs are an exact likeness of his.
