What if I told you I've already rewritten half of what you've read?

(Joking? I wish I was joking.)

you should stop that. revision is the enemy of progress.

Yeah, I know. It was one of those "aargh, this needs fixing right NOW' moments of weakness. Won't happen again.

And if it does, I won't admit to it.

I've decided to take a bit more of an "unstructured" approach to Flat Earth, since it flows better when I'm just writing whatever falls out of my brain, and not worrying about word counts or cohesive storytelling. But for the record, I've added about 8,000 words in the last ten days.

I think I'll finish Borrowed Time tomorrow. Once more into the breach on that one.

I tried to post on this a few days back, but things got glitchy, and then Thom went and beat me to it, but...

Borrowed Time is done, pending edits, and will be available on Dark Tomorrow and in e-booky form at some later date.

I can't actually do a word count right now (long story, ironically) but Flat Earth is proceeding. Much disjointed stuff written, now needing linking together into something cohesive.

If you agree that a first draft is complete when the story is settled down and padded out to the point of morbid obesity.   I usually need four revisions to have a first draft.
