This thread has taken quite a left turn

I don't know, seems perfectly in line with what the fans of that series are in need of, time to time.

;D  Doesn't everyone want to be a Brit?  we're just generally better, right?  ;)

Definitely have better television, on average.  And the accent seems to drive women wild.  :D

Although maybe it's a scarcity thing.  Maybe over there American accents drive women wild?

No?

Well, I had to check...

oh yes, American accents are definitely lovely.  ;D  And i'm sure not ALL english accents drive women wild... we have some distinctly unsexy accents.  :D

hey, don't suppose you'd fancy collaborating on a 40k story?  That would make it at least half a UK story, do you think Black Library would go for that?  ;)

Hmmmmm... That's an interesting idea, Rakie.  I have no idea how they'd respond to that.

They usually open for submissions during the summer.  If you're serious, perhaps we should talk about this...

oh yes, American accents are definitely lovely.

Are there American accents that are lovlier than others? I live in the Chi-kah-go area now and (sorry neighbors) don't care for the local accent. I'm curious of your thoughts about how appealing a New England Yankee accent is vs. the Bronx, vs. a Georgia drawl, vs. a Texas twang, vs. a California surfer dude, etc.

Or you might prefer a voice like mine, with no accent at all ;D :P

i'm terrible at telling accents apart - i think i can tell the difference between, say, Texas and New York, but anything more specific than that is way beyond me.  Hate to say it, but you all tend to sound alike to me... ;)  *wonders again if she should run away*

LA - it sounds like a fab idea to me, if you're not to over-burdened with projects at the moment!  i'd love to write 40K stuff but don't have the necessary level of background knowledge about the universe.

As someone who is from Texas I love this comment...Mainly because I have been told by many people I sound like a Texan who is from New York since I talk so fast yet I have a slight southern accent.  ;D

Hey Pete, I really liked JQ.  Is there going to be another?  You may call then short stories, but it seemed like one to me. I want to see how this turns out!
