Why would anyone want to laugh at a comedy video?
"When I told everyone I wanted to be a comedian, they all laughed at me. Well now I
am a professional comedian, and no one's laughing now!"
Trent Reznor has been well ahead of the curve as far as online distribution goes.
True, but he only started his radical ideas in, what... 2007, I think? King was way, way ahead. Plus, Reznor was coming off a ten year career as a very successful and popular musician. Like with Louis CK, it does skew the results a bit.
And didn't Reznor just make his stuff completely free, no need to pay at all? It's kind of an apples and oranges comparison, how much did you give away vs how much did I sell.
