and I hope some being of mighty forum powers can explain to me what all that stuff on the avatar is and when to use it. The whole praise/blaspheme thing, skulls I kind of have a handle on, and most of the rest is pretty standard for SMF forums. But, and here's the good one - what is this infernal power that allows people to put things up in chat with out it showing as a post? It boggles me.

Most likely is that chat is not counted as a forum post.  It's a green Viking (a Norse of a different color).

Sorry Lane, what I meant was a post in the chat. "Normal" posts in the chat will attribute to the sender, these are ones that come with no attribution. Clear as mud eh?
