have you seen the fake live-action Thundercats trailer, with Brad Pitt, Vin Deisel and . . . i dunno, other people? it's pretty cool. i think they use CGI Garfield as Snarf.

It made me happy in my pants.

Hey, it just occurred to me that an obvious nickname for a fake trailer would be a "failer". Larf.

Aaaaand on the subject, here's a fake - if surprisingly well-made - trailer for a non-existent movie version of the old British comic Slaine: The Horned God. I think it's awesome, but being familiar with the character probably helps.

(It's in Spanish with subtitles, but being based on Celtic mythology, that makes an odd sort of sense.)

Very good Rob, too bad it wasn't made into a real flick. Would have beaten the new Conan all to hell and back.

I'm pretty sure The Smurfs beat the new Conan all to hell and back.

So, I saw the Prometheus trailer in the theater. It looks really good but still looks like a prequel to Alien. The ship dies appear to be the one found in the first film, the "eggs" shown are metal versions of the ones the xenomorph were in. It would be cool for it to be a story of the space jockey aliens.

True, but to give Conan a fair shake it does beat "Twilight: Whatever" - hell, even Captain Sulu doesn't like that one or its precursors.

Jumping back on topic for five seconds, the teaser looks pretty cool. I especially liked the way the title appeared on screen bit by bit, just like in '79. I'm not sure all the grand spectacle and flashy effects fit the Alien universe, even if it's only a "loose" prequel.

Wanna bet this film will explain how the Space Jockey's ship ended up on LV-426?
