That is really outstanding ZM! Exactly the sort of thing I'd like to do with the EMPIRE scene I'm working on - I'm gonna need a hell of a lot more bricks (and, as Peter pointed out, greenery!).

 That thing I posted is huge. Way too big...I meant to build something medium sized but since I am so new at this LEGO thing I misjudged what I was getting myself into. Here is a scale reference.



Ridiculous...hah...this thing is probably around 6,000 bricks? I am not sure.

Dave, do you have a Lego Store near you, by chance?  They usually have "bulk bins" in the back where you can fill up a Slurpee-sized container for fifteen bucks or so.  They usually have tons of plants, different color bricks, and other little specialty pieces.

I'll probably need to plan a trip there for some upcoming H.P. Legocraft ideas...

It doesn't look like I do, but I have those two big tubs from when I was a kid. Last time I went through them I was only pulling neutral-color bricks, so I'll dig through them again later today. I do remember seeing a lot of green...

Plants are insanely expensive to buy unless you happen to find a store that has them in bulk on the wall.  The guy at the store had to tape my cup shut at the counter.

Hot water and Oxyclean will clean them right up if they are nasty. Let it sit for a day then dry on a towel. Don't use soap.

I asked the guy who owns Ashmore Estates if I could buy a brick.  If he says yes I will of course have to hide it from my wife...no way will she allow such a thing in the house.

I also thought it would be fun to do the Permuted Press logo but its run into a snag. Lettering is a challenge to do with LEGOs and Jacob not only chose a long name but an extremely long tag line.

I used to know about breaking news for sports. Now its LEGO and the fact that you know about that release means you're a level 18 Nerdling with Cloak of Shapechange (1/day, CL 20) .
