Share the dumb, too!
« on: October 30, 2011, 04:09:28 AM »

This is worse than judging a book by it's title.

Here we find a seasoned musician who should know better contemplating a lawsuit against a pop singer because her SONG TITLE is the same as his.  Never mind that titles can't be copywrited.  But there's more! The song title isn't exactly the same as his--only similar.  More still . . .  the musician admits that he first heard the song title on the Groucho Marx show.  He further explains that the title is a phrase popular before the age of the politically correct.  In conclusion, doesn't this suggest that if he can sue the pop singer than the world can sue him for infringing on the use of a shared phrase?

A lie is just a perfectly good story someone ruined with the truth.
