Into the Dark: From the Journals of Samantha Bloodworth (Walking on Mars Serial 7)

By

At first, the Shellerby Research Facility, built in the late 1950s, seemed no different than the other dozens of research facilities that dot the frigid, barren continent of Antarctica. Then the first suicide took place and then another. After that, the base commanders noted numerous events of strange behavior among their colleagues. Lastly, in 1968 an Air Force transport crashed on landing and claimed the lives of the crew members and scientists on board. Shellerby was shut down.

Since that time, the place has stood vacant. Now, Captain Riley Scott and his crew, along with his girlfriend and journalist, Samantha “Sam” Bloodworth, arrive at the station to reclaim part of the crashed aircraft and look for any logs or files left at the base.

As Sam works her way deeper into the base she is soon separated from Riley and the others. But she does not believe she is alone. First, someone or something shoved her hard down a short step of metal stairs, then she hears voices. Sam struggles to find her way back to Riley and the others, but whatever is locked inside the eerie abandoned station with her is clearly malevolent.
